On 21 September 2007, an IQS Information Session was held in Dalian, attended by 11 participants of H-Share board secretaries and their subordinates. Louisa Lau, Director, China Affairs, Education and Examinations, introduced the Chartered Secretary profession and International Qualifying Scheme (IQS) at the session. Maurice Ngai, Institute Vice-President and China Affairs Committee Chairman, shared his career experience with the participants. Ma Jinru, Board Secretary of Dalian Port (PDA) Company Limited shared her experience of attending IQS examinations in June 2007 and the benefits she gained through the study in the examination preparation.
