Earth Day (22 April) marks the anniversary of the birth of modern environmental movement in 1970.
One of the Earth Day Network’s missions is to mobilise the most effective vehicle to build a healthy, sustainable environment, address climate change and protect the Earth for future generations.
Members and graduates are invited to join the ‘Hong Kong Cleanup (清潔香港)’ challenge, a beach cleaning exercise at Lung Kwu Tan (龍鼓灘) in Tuen Mun, it is also named as the ‘Mirror of the Sky’ in Hong Kong, to express our care of the environment.
The Hong Kong Cleanup works with the Government in mobilising volunteers cleanup with public education efforts. Participating in this challenge also represents taking part in the Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup–the world's largest volunteer effort for our marine environment.
