Where an idea is generally accepted as a good one - like with ESG - critical analysis gives way. This then reduces due scrutiny and questioning of the concept. The end result, while unintended, is the inhibition of the development of practical applications of the concept.
This seminar therefore seeks a critical analysis of the concept of ESG by challenging it, and bringing out areas where the concept could be weak in principle or in practice - then to seek to tackle, manage, mitigate them, and in the last resort, just admit and accept these limitations.
This seminar, organised by The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS), in partnership with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, is also part of the International Financial Week of the Asian Financial Forum 2019 (AFF).
Participants of AFF 2019 will enjoy HKICS member’s rate in attending this seminar. Target audience: directors, INEDs, company secretaries and senior management.
