Governance Professionals Career Day 2021

On 27 March 2021, the Institute held the Governance Professionals Career Day (online) which received an overwhelming response from undergraduates of local universities and academics, and Institute’s students. Institute Past President, Council Member and Education Committee Chairman Mrs Natalia Seng FCG FCS(PE) gave the opening speech to welcome participants and provided an inspiring speech on the prospects of Chartered Secretary and Chartered Governance Professional (the profession).

 In this event, there were

■ interesting dialogues and interviews with HKICS members from different industries on the roles and their experiences as a Chartered Secretary and Chartered Governance Professional as well as their career pathways of the dual qualifications

■ inspiring interview with Mrs Natalia Seng FCG FCS(PE) on the industry development of the profession with the extensive application of technology and artificial intelligence

■ interactive dialogues with HKICS members from different industries at the fireside chats to learn more about the day-to-day work life of the governance professionals

■ advice and insights provided by HR expert and employer of the industry to young talents in joining the profession

■ a workshop equipping participants on their professional image and workplace etiquette
