The Institute has been organising the Student Ambassadors Programme (SAP) since 2006 for the objective of providing a platform for undergraduates from local universities to better understand the dual qualification of Chartered Secretary and Chartered Governance Professional and assist participating undergraduates to develop their potential as future leaders as governance professionals. To date, more than 1,600 undergraduates from local universities have joined as HKICS student ambassadors.

The key SAP activities are set out below:

  • Mentorship Programme
  • Visit to regulators and professional services firms
  • Summer internships
  • Attending Annual General Meetings (AGM) of listed companies
  • Social events

Who is eligible?

  • undergraduates from all local universities in any discipline
  • anyone willing to take on a challenge and seize an opportunity


Registration Fee: HK$120, a one-off payment for enrolment of the programme. Successful registrants are eligible to participate in all SAP activities throughout your period of undergraduate study.

Application procedure: Complete the below application form and return it with a payment (credit card or cheque) of HK$120 in person or by post to: Education & Examinations section, The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries, 3/F Hong Kong Diamond Exchange Building, 8 Duddell Street, Central. Payment via EPS and UnionPay can also be made at the Institute office.
 
A participation certificate will be issued to student ambassadors who have participated at least one activity in each academic year. Students are required to attend SAP activities once enrolled. Students absent from an enrolled activity without prior notice may not be able to apply for summer internship position.
 

The Institute reserves the right to select student ambassadors.
